My young niece recently asked me, "When did the world become colourful?" All the old films and photos she has seen are in black and white.

I began photography in Glasgow, where as a Boy Scout I learned to develop and print black and white film. As a merchant seaman I photographed in many countries, on the continents of Africa, North & South America, Australia, Japan and Europe.

My first wedding was photographed in 197? for a Bride who had seen an award winning picture of trees by me and she thought I could do weddings! I couldn't. Then. Thirty years of weddings and I learn something new at every one.

In 1991 I became a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society  Online in 1994 I had the fifth wedding related website in Scotland and built Wedding-Services.co.uk  a UK Wedding Directory, the income from which supported me while a mature student of Information Management, databases, at the University of Abertay Dundee
Later I sold the Wedding Directory and bought a keel boat which I sailed round Scotland through the three Scottish canals, Caledonian, Crinan and Forth & Clyde.

Keenly interested in religion and politics, I have stood in numerous parliamentary and local council elections. I strongly oppose the European Union

I moved to the Highlands when I met Ann, seen here when we sailed a Moody 28 end to end of the Caledonian Canal.

Photography can and has changed the world. For the better.
The power of images to change social conditions
and expose truth, is its beauty.

Came across one of my own wedding photos I took and realised I have never seen on any wedding photographers websites, and I have looked at zillions, a picture of their own Wedding.             Now single and fatter.

Quantum Physics dictates that something does not exist in its physical form until it is actually observed by someone.

Wkipedia.org/wiki/Scota
SCOTA, in Irish mythology, Scottish mythology and pseudohistory, was an Egyptian princess to whom the Gaels traced their ancestry, explaining the name Scoti, applied by the Romans to Irish raiders, and later to the Irish invaders of Argyll and Caledonia which became known as Scotland.
